Common questions
Which image formats can I crop?
Static JPG/JPEG, PNG, and WebP images are supported. Animated images are rejected so frames are never silently discarded.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Previewing, cropping, rotating, encoding, and output verification happen inside your browser.
What happens to transparent pixels in JPG?
JPEG cannot store transparency. Transparent areas are filled with white by default, or with the background color you choose.
Does cropping preserve photo metadata?
No. The result is re-encoded from pixels, so EXIF, GPS location, ICC, DPI, and other source metadata are not copied.
