Privacy Policy

How Got A Tool handles the files you choose, website usage data, and third-party services.

Last updated:

The short version

Files you choose
Supported tools process files in your browser. You choose the input and when to download the result.
Data from website visits
Hosting, Google Analytics, and Google AdSense may process technical or usage data. Local file processing does not mean the website collects no data.

Local file processing

For supported tools, files are processed directly within your browser. We do not intentionally upload the contents of those files to our servers for processing.

Local processing means the requested operation is performed using browser technologies running on your device rather than by transferring the file contents to Got A Tool.

Files you select

Files are accessed only after you choose them through a supported tool. Your browser reads the selected files for the purpose of completing the operation you requested.

When a tool creates a new file, the result is generated for you to download. You remain responsible for reviewing, storing, sharing, or deleting that file.

Technical and usage data

Our hosting infrastructure may process standard technical information required to deliver and protect the website. This may include information such as an IP address, browser type, device type, requested page, request time, and diagnostic or security data.

We do not intend to include the contents of locally processed files in analytics, diagnostic, or usage events. If additional analytics services are introduced, this policy will be updated as appropriate.

Third-party services

Got A Tool relies on infrastructure providers to host, deliver, secure, and maintain the website. Those providers may process ordinary technical information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

The website uses Google Analytics to measure website usage and includes Google AdSense for advertising. These services are separate from local file processing. They may receive information such as the page URL and your IP address, and may set or read cookies. The information processed depends on the service, its configuration, and applicable settings.

Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services for details about data use and available controls.

Data retention

Got A Tool does not intentionally retain the contents of files processed locally by supported tools. Information held temporarily in the page's working memory is generally cleared when the page is refreshed, closed, or otherwise reset.

Technical information processed by infrastructure providers may be retained for limited periods for security, reliability, diagnostics, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy as Got A Tool develops, its tools change, or new services are introduced. The current version will remain available on this page, together with its latest revision date.
