How it works
01
Add one YAML document and choose the indentation you need.
02
Review any note about comments, anchors, or aliases before relying on the result.
03
Use the normalized YAML only after checking its values and structure.
Clear limit
YAML is parsed into data and then written as a new YAML copy. Values and key order are retained where possible, but comments and original anchor notation are source-level details and are not preserved.
Pasted configuration remains in your browser.
Choose two or four spaces before creating output.
Invalid YAML produces a visible error instead of partial output.
Comments and anchor notation are reported before copying.
FAQ
No. YAML comments are source text and are not part of the parsed data, so they do not appear in the formatted copy.
Their values are resolved into the formatted copy. The original anchor and alias spelling is not preserved.
No. Parsing and formatting happen only in the current browser tab.
