Use a booklet when the finished PDF will be folded and read like a small book
A booklet changes the visible order of your source pages so that, after double-sided printing and folding, readers see pages in normal reading order. It is for printing—not for simply changing the order of pages in a regular PDF.

Four checks that prevent an upside-down or incomplete booklet
Match the paper
Choose A4 only when you will print on A4. Choose Letter for Letter paper. The output uses landscape sheets with two source pages on each side.
Check the page count
A folded booklet needs a total divisible by four. The tool reports any blank positions it adds to complete the final sheet.
Print one test sheet
Use double-sided printing and flip on the short edge. Fold the test sheet before committing a longer document.
Keep the original
A booklet is a new print layout. Keep the source PDF if you still need its original page order or interactive features.

What is preserved visually
Each readable source page is placed proportionally on the selected paper. Its visual aspect ratio is retained; pages are not stretched or cropped to fill a half-sheet.
What does not carry into the booklet
Interactive form fields, links, bookmarks, annotations, attachments, and password protection are not preserved because the output is a new visual layout. Review the downloaded booklet before sharing it.

Why are blank pages sometimes added?
A folded booklet needs a total page count divisible by four. The tool adds only the required blank positions and reports their number before download.
Which print setting should I use?
Choose double-sided printing and flip on the short edge. Printer dialogs vary, so print one test sheet first if the direction is important.
Can I use a password-protected PDF?
Use an unlocked, readable copy. The tool accepts one PDF up to 50 MB and 500 pages.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The supported PDF is read and arranged locally in your browser.
