Example
Put a cover letter before a résumé
Add cover-letter.pdf and résumé.pdf, then place the cover letter first. The downloaded file combines their pages in that same order.

When to merge PDFs and when to use another step
Merge whole files
Use Merge PDF when each selected document should stay together, such as a cover letter followed by a résumé or several completed forms in a chosen order.
Rearrange individual pages
Need page 3 before page 1, or pages from different files mixed together? Start with Reorder PDF Pages instead.
Remove or reduce first
Use Delete PDF Pages to remove pages, or Compress PDF when file size is the main problem.

Merge PDF details
How many PDFs can I merge?
Add 2 to 20 PDF files. Each file can be up to 50 MB, the selected files can total up to 150 MB, and the merged document can contain up to 1,000 pages.
Can I control the order?
Yes. Drag files into place or use the arrow buttons before merging. The resulting PDF follows the order shown in the list.
What about password-protected PDFs?
If a selected PDF is password-protected, the tool asks for that file's password so you can try again. An unreadable or incomplete file is reported instead of silently included.
Are my PDF files uploaded?
No. Merging runs locally in your browser, and the selected PDFs are not sent to Got A Tool for processing.
What happens to bookmarks and interactive forms?
The tool warns when it finds bookmarks or interactive forms because the current merge engine may not carry those features into the combined document. Review the warning before downloading.
Private by design
Your documents stay in your browser.
PDF processing happens on your device. Files are not uploaded to Got A Tool for merging.
Order preserved
Pages are copied in the exact file order you choose.
Password support
Password-protected PDFs can be merged after you enter the correct password.
No silent skipping
Unreadable or incomplete files stop the merge and are identified by name.
Compatibility warnings
