This version supports MP3 files with common ID3v2 and ID3v1 tags. It does not inspect every proprietary frame, edit individual fields, normalize volume, or verify copyright and ownership information.
Exact audio payload
The downloaded copy uses the original MPEG audio bytes without transcoding.
Common text fields
Reads common title, artist, album, year, genre, and track frames when safely decodable.
Artwork removal
Attached artwork inside ID3 tags is removed along with the tag container.
