Crop PDF

Trim visible PDF margins with manual percentages, selected pages and an output preview. Cropping is not redaction.

Cropping hides content outside the visible area; it does not delete that content from the PDF. It can still be recovered. This is not redaction. Links, annotations and metadata may remain in the file.

Trim PDF margins without guessing

Use Crop PDF when a page has wide margins that make the visible content too small to read. Choose a plain PDF, enter percentage margins for its displayed edges, select the pages and create an output preview. A 10% left margin removes one tenth of the current visible width from the left, including on rotated pages.

Check each page before sharing

The same percentages can hide different content on pages with different layouts. Start with a small margin and inspect each affected output page. Unselected pages remain in their original order with their existing visible area. The tool does not detect white borders or move text to fit.

Does cropping remove private information?

No. This tool changes the PDF's visible page boundary. Content outside that boundary remains in the file and can be recovered. Metadata, comments and links may also remain. Do not use cropping to redact names, signatures or account numbers.

Which PDFs are supported?

One unencrypted PDF up to 20 MB and 200 pages. Forms and signed PDFs are rejected. Damaged PDFs or unsupported rotations produce an error instead of a partial download. Originals are not changed, and file contents are processed in your browser.

Crop, delete or rotate?

Cropping changes the visible area of a page. Use Delete PDF Pages to remove whole pages, or Rotate PDF to change their orientation. See the PDF sharing checklist before sending a document.
