Split addresses in three steps

  1. 1. Choose a UTF-8, comma-separated CSV.
  2. 2. Select the full address column and review parsed records.
  3. 3. Download all original rows with four new address columns.

Example

123 Main St, Springfield, Illinois 62704 becomes Street: 123 Main St; City: Springfield; State/Province: IL; ZIP/Postal Code: 62704. A Canadian ending such as Ontario K1A0B1 becomes ON and K1A 0B1.

Address splitting questions

Which address formats are supported?

Use Street, City, State ZIP for US addresses, or Street, City, Province Postal Code for Canadian addresses. Full region names and abbreviations are accepted; Canada postal codes are normalized to uppercase with a space. Additional street or apartment segments before the city are retained.

Does this verify delivery addresses?

No. This is a format splitter, not an address verification service. It does not confirm street existence, city/postal-code matches, or deliverability. Country suffixes and unsupported layouts need manual review.

What happens to unmatched rows?

Every original record remains in the CSV. Unmatched rows receive blank added fields and a record number in the review list. Numbers count CSV records with the header as record 1; quoted multiline records may occupy multiple text lines.

Are existing columns overwritten?

No. Four new columns are appended, with unique names if a name already exists. Formula-leading cells receive a protective text prefix on export, so this is not a byte-for-byte copy.

Are addresses uploaded?

No. Parsing and CSV generation happen in your browser. Up to 10,000 records and 5 MB are supported.
