A unit converter changes a numeric measurement between common units while keeping the measurement category explicit. This version supports length, mass, and temperature, including metric and customary units. Choose both units from the same category to avoid mixing unlike measurements.

What this tool does and its limits

Length and mass conversions use fixed unit factors; temperature conversions use the Celsius relationship between Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin. The converter does not include area, volume, cooking measures, currencies, or contextual conversions such as US versus imperial gallons. Temperatures below absolute zero are rejected.

Frequently asked questions

Which unit groups are supported?
Length, mass, and temperature are supported. Area, volume, currency, and cooking conversions are outside this version.
Are US and imperial units distinguished?
The listed units are common length and mass units. Gallons and other region-sensitive volume units are not included.
Why is a temperature rejected?
Values below absolute zero are physically invalid and are rejected.
How many decimal places are shown?
The result is formatted to at most six decimal places for readability; the underlying calculation is not rounded to that display precision.
