Flatten PDF Form Fields

Make the current values in standard PDF form fields part of the page so the fields are no longer editable.

Choose one unlocked PDF form

Review AcroForm field names, then create a copy whose current field appearances are no longer editable. Up to 50 MB and 500 pages. The PDF stays in this browser tab.

Retention
The tool's working state is kept only while this page is open. Inputs and results are not saved to persistent storage by Got A Tool.
Export
The tool may prepare a result after you run it. It downloads or copies it only when you choose that action.

How it works

Turn filled PDF form fields into page content

01

Choose an unlocked PDF

Open a standard AcroForm PDF from your device. Signed, encrypted, and XFA files are refused.

02

Review the field list

Check the names and types of fields found before creating a new copy.

03

Inspect the download

Open the flattened copy and confirm every visible value before sharing or printing it.

What flattening means

The current field appearance becomes non-editable page content.

Flattening is useful when a completed form should look consistent in viewers or at print time. It does not hide sensitive information, certify authenticity, or protect the PDF from later editing with specialist software.

AcroForm only

Supports standard PDF form fields that have usable widget appearances.

Other annotations stay separate

Links, comments, highlights, and drawing annotations are outside this tool's scope.

Signatures refused

Signed PDFs are blocked because changing them would invalidate their signatures.

Local processing

The input and generated copy remain in the current browser tab until you download.
