Meta Tag Generator & Preview

Create safe search, Open Graph, and X meta tags with honest live previews.

1

Search metadata

Write a concise page title and a useful summary. Google may rewrite either one for a specific search.

Search visibility controls

The recommended defaults allow indexing and unrestricted text, image, and video previews.

Open Graph overrides

Leave text and URL fields empty to reuse the search metadata above.

X / Twitter Card overrides

Empty fields fall back to the resolved Open Graph values.

How it works

Create reliable metadata in three steps

01

Describe your page

Enter a useful title, description, page URL, and optional canonical URL.

02

Review the previews

Compare approximate Google, Open Graph, and X card presentations as you type.

03

Copy safe HTML

Fix validation issues, then copy the escaped, deterministic tags into your page head.

Accurate 2026 guidance

Useful metadata without invented SEO scores.

Google can rewrite title links and snippets for each search, so previews are clearly presented as approximations. The tool never promises rankings, indexing, or AI feature visibility.

Search metadata

Generate title, description, canonical, and current robots preview directives.

Social cards

Create Open Graph and X tags with transparent fallback behavior and accessible image alt text.

Injection-safe output

Quotes, ampersands, angle brackets, Unicode, and attribute-breaking input are safely escaped.

No legacy myths

No meta keywords, AI meta tags, SEO score, ranking promise, or indexing guarantee is produced.

FAQ

Common questions

Will Google show this exact title and description?

Not necessarily. Google generates title links and snippets automatically and may shorten or replace either value based on the query, device, and page content. The preview is an informed writing aid, not a guarantee.

Why is there no meta keywords field?

Google does not use the meta keywords tag for indexing or ranking. Adding it would encourage an obsolete practice without providing a real SEO benefit.

Does this optimize a page for AI Overviews or AI Mode?

There is no special AI meta tag or required AI schema. Google's 2026 guidance says established SEO fundamentals remain relevant. This tool therefore avoids fabricated AEO or GEO scores and guarantees.

Does Got A Tool fetch or store my URLs and content?

No. Validation, previews, escaping, and HTML generation run locally in your browser. The tool does not visit the URLs or download social images.
